*URGENT COMMUNITY ALERT* (May 17, 2020 at 5:00 PM)
There have been several confirmed new cases of COVID-19 within the Jewish community in recent days. The risk of further community spread is high. All are encouraged to redouble physical distancing efforts. Please note that social visiting practices and gatherings remain high risk activities. Additionally, we continue to urge hand hygiene and proper face covering when interacting with anyone outside your immediate household.
If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, including fever (>37.8C or >100F), cough, sore throat, headache, diarrhea, loss smell/taste, or if you have been in contact with someone who is not feeling well or has tested positive for COVID-19, you should go to a COVID assessment centre and get tested. North York General and Sunnybrook Hospital both have assessment centres.
Let us all continue to keep each other safe and healthy,
The Kol HaCOVID Team
